Baby Shower Games from Baby-Shower.com Good
Night Moon In giving my friend a second baby shower I wanted something unique so that it would be as memorable as her first. I let her pick the time, and she wanted a 2:00pm shower so she would have the day to sleep in and dress at her leisure as well as spend time with her son. The baby is expected to be a boy but I didn’t want to do the “blue” thing so I went with dark purple and bright yellow. I used plain dark purple paper table covers and sprinkled them with gold and lavender moon and star confetti. The invitations, napkins and some of the paper plates reflected the same picture of teddy bears with a moon and stars. I made a few balloon clusters with purple and yellow helium balloons. In trying not to be “too cutesy” I also bought napkins and plates that were just plain purple. Stuffed bears were scattered about for accent. Using some tulle and a cluster of purple balloons a canopy was hung over the gift table. We made soaps in the shape of bears, moons and stars as favors and tied them up in tulle and ribbon. We also made small gift baskets with bath salts, aroma candles etc in them as prizes for the games. Small cookie cutters in the shape of moons, bears and stars were for shaping cheese, breads were made in star shaped molds for finger sandwiches. Tip: I saved a lot of money by shopping at discount party supply stores and the .99 cent store locally had helium balloons at a super price. Making foods that could be done a day or so in advance helped on time. Hiring a professional cleaning staff saved me stress that it would all be done in time…it was worth the 40.00! |
