If you are going to have kids at the shower why not have fun activities to keep them entertained. Chances are adults may endulge in them too.

I found rolls of paper (which you can readily find at craft stores) and layed them down the table, taping them at the end to stay secure. As center pieces I placed a cup full of crayons, and sure enough anyone placed around the table had a blank canvas to doodle on.

Also as center pieces I used small toys, like blocks or rubix cubes as well as assorted childrens books that I picked up from yard sales (an extremely inexpensive way to find some great classics).

As a present to the mother-to-be, she took home all of the books to help begin the baby's library!
